From driving ranges to world class courses, to fun and local favorites, there is a golf course for everyone. You can putt or drive your way to paradise at one of the main facilities in the area. From the challenging Jack Nicklaus designed Glen Arbour Golf Course to the scenic vistas of the Chester Golf Club and on to Osprey Ridge Golf Club, or the old town courses, there are numerous courses which are easily accessible from Larinda’s Landing and promise to please even the most discriminating golfer.
The old Annapolis Hiking Trail winds its way through 2.6 km of wooden bridges, hardwood trees and photo vistas. A nature lover’s palette. You are sure to encounter flora, fauna and wildlife unique to Nova Scotia on this spectacular trail which is owned and well maintained by Bowater Mersey. You can end a beautiful day of enjoying nature and tranquility with a swim in beautiful Sandy Lake.
You can also hike our Canada-wide “Rails to Trails” which can be entered directly across the road and is within a minute of Larinda's Landing. If you are looking for more hiking outside of St. Margaret's Bay, be sure to ask our friendly staff as they would be happy to point you in the right direction and give you some great recommendations based upon what you are looking for.
The Lighthouse Route is a favorite of cyclists in and around Nova Scotia. With its many trails and scenic coastline, this popular cycling route will provide several different levels and challenges, depending on your preference.
Bicycles can be rented at the Bike & Bean in Upper Tantallon.
Cast a line from the public wharf just down the road or from our on-site breakwater, where the Ingramport River meets the Atlantic Ocean.
Looking to catch a bigger fish? Charter a private vessel for deep sea fishing from Lunenburg. Meet a group of new friends for a day of great fun, fishing stories and possibly even a few “true” catches to cook up at your home away from home.
Within a 20 minute drive from Larinda’s Landing you will arrive at Hatfield Farms. The authentic ranch style setting of this farm will excite equestrian buffs of all ages and levels. Trail, wagon, or pony-rides there is something for everyone, complete with mechanical bucking bronco, large outdoor playground with zip lines and horse-drawn wagon rides. This is a “must do” if you are looking for a unique outdoor adventure.
