We have received lots of questions and concerns with regards to our guests future reservations amid the continuing uncertainties with regards to Covid-19. We have created this page to take away some of these uncertainties and hopefully answer some of our guests questions with regards to Covid-19 and their booking.
As a business, we have decided that our original cancellation policy had to be amended to give our guests clear options with regards to cancelling their reservation. We have amended our policy for the 2021 season to keep the impact of Covid-19 as low as possible for our guests as well as our business so we may remain operational through these difficult times and be here for our guests in the following years to come.
Reservations made after the 8th of April 2021
Reservations for stays at Larinda’s Landing Oceanfront Cottages after the 8th of April 2021 will not be covered under our extenuating circumstances policy, except where the guest is currently sick with COVID-19.
COVID-19 related circumstances not covered include, but not limited to: transportation disruptions and cancellations; travel advisories and restrictions; health advisories and quarantines; changes to applicable laws (provincial or federal throughout Canada); and any other government mandates such as: — evacuation orders, border closures, stay home orders, prohibitions on short-term rentals and shelter-in-place requirements. Our regular cancellation policy will apply as usual which is stated below in this notification.
If you decide to cancel outside the 8-week (56 days) period prior from your arrival date, your cancellation will be subject to a $75.00 CAD cancellation administration fee only (HST included). The remaining balance of the original deposit will be refunded to the credit card on file. This $75.00 CAD fee applies for each cottage booked under your reservation.
Your 25% deposit will become fully non-refundable if cancellation within 8 weeks (56 days) of your arrival date occurs.
If you cancel within 4 weeks (28 days) of your arrival date, then your entire booking will become fully non-refundable. If you decided to cancel within these 28 days, you will be charged the full balance of your booking against the credit card on file.
We highly recommend that our guests check with their travel cancellation insurance company or, credit card used for your reservation (if applicable), to see if they are eligible for financial compensation/refund through them prior to cancelling your reservation with us. If covered, guest may cancel and submit their cancellation confirmation for a claim with their cancellation insurance company or credit card.

As a small seasonal business, we rely heavily on the support and understanding from our guests and we will continue to work hard to keep our doors open so we can be here for many years to come and hoping to welcome you back for a stay with us.
