CANCELLATION POLICY

We have received lots of questions and concerns with regards to our guests future reservations amid the continuing uncertainties with regards to Covid-19. We have created this page to take away some of these uncertainties and hopefully answer some of our guests questions with regards to Covid-19 and their booking.

As a business, we have decided that our original cancellation policy had to be amended to give our guests clear options with regards to cancelling their reservation. We have amended our policy for the 2021 season to keep the impact of Covid-19 as low as possible for our guests as well as our business so we may remain operational through these difficult times and be here for our guests in the following years to come.

Reservations made after the 8th of April 2021

Reservations for stays at Larinda’s Landing Oceanfront Cottages after the 8th of April 2021 will not be covered under our extenuating circumstances policy, except where the guest is currently sick with COVID-19. 

COVID-19 related circumstances not covered include, but not limited to: transportation disruptions and cancellations; travel advisories and restrictions; health advisories and quarantines; changes to applicable laws (provincial or federal throughout Canada); and any other government mandates such as: — evacuation orders, border closures, stay home orders, prohibitions on short-term rentals and shelter-in-place requirements. Our regular cancellation policy will apply as usual which is stated below in this notification.

If you decide to cancel outside the 6-week (42 days) period prior from your arrival date, your cancellation will be subject to a $75.00 CAD cancellation administration fee only (HST included). The remaining balance of the original deposit will be refunded to the credit card on file. This $75.00 CAD fee applies for each cottage booked under your reservation.

Your 25% deposit will become fully non-refundable if cancellation within 8 weeks (56 days) of your arrival date occurs.

If you cancel within 4 weeks (28 days) of your arrival date, then your entire booking will become fully non-refundable. If you decided to cancel within these 28 days, you will be charged the full balance of your booking against the credit card on file.

We highly recommend that our guests check with their travel cancellation insurance company or, credit card used for your reservation (if applicable), to see if they are eligible for financial compensation/refund through them prior to cancelling your reservation with us. If covered, guest may cancel and submit their cancellation confirmation for a claim with their cancellation insurance company or credit card.

We would like to thank you as we appreciate your patience and consideration during these difficult times. As a small seasonal business, we rely heavily on the support and understanding from our guests and we will continue to work hard to keep our doors open so we can be here for many years to come and hoping to welcome you back for a stay with us.

BOOKING POLICY

At Larinda’s Landing, we require a three-night minimum stay during our High Season. However, please do not hesitate to contact us if you are looking for a one or two-night stay. We may have a one or two-night opening between bookings which are available through our online booking system or by phone.

All reservations require a 25% non-refundable deposit + HST upon booking.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express upon booking and Interac (debit) and cash on site.

Any reservation made must be by an adult of 23 years or older. Any guests staying on site must be accompanied by an adult of 23 years or older. Larinda's Landing has the right to refuse and/or cancel any bookings that do not adhere to this policy upon arrival.

All deposits and additional fees are subject to HST (15% tax).

All rates are based on double occupancy, two guests per bedroom.

Check in time is 3:00 pm – Check out time is 10:30 am.

Late check-out upon request; a late check-out fee may apply. Acceptance of a late check-out is solely within the discretion of Larinda's Landing and is subject to availability of your cottage on the day of your check-out.

We allow 1 (one) additional guest per cottage for an overnight stay (on top of the regular occupancy capacity of the cottage. An additional fee of $10.00 + HST per night will be charged to your reservation for ages 5 - 12 and $ 15.00 + HST for ages 13 and up.

We are a pet-friendly property! Please notify us upon booking if any pets are travelling with you. There will be a pet fee of $15.00 + HST per pet per night added to your account, please contact us for our entire pet policy and waiver for more specific information.

We have a "do not disturb other guests" policy from 11.00 pm - 8.00 am on the property.

All of our cottages are non-smokingA cleaning fee of $250.00 + HST will be charged to any guest who smokes in their cottage.

Any birthday parties, family reunions or gatherings with additional guests must be reported to the office for approval. It is up to the discretion of Larinda's Landing if an additional usage fee may be applied.

There is a property usage fee for weddings, family reunions, and organized functions. Please contact our office for more details.
